Guest guest
Hi " K " , I hurt my lower back three months ago. I was doing some heavy lifting and robably put too much strain on my back due to weakened leg muscles. I first went to see a chiropractor who incorrectly diagnosed my injury as " spinal stenosis " . After four weeks of no improvement I went to an orthopedic doctor. He put me on VIOXX, sent me to physical therapy, and ordered an MRI. The MRI showed a disk bulge at L4-L5 and some nerve root swelling. I finished my physical therapy last week. I'm almost back to where I was three months ago. The doctor tells me that sometimes recovery can take as long as six months. I know that back pain REALLY sucks and having CMT doesn't help any. You have to be very careful during the recovery period not to fall and reinjury your back. Greg
