First of all, Rick and Liz, nice to see you both posting

again. Liz, what you said about using your head in sports

made sense - even though I was excused from PE from Jr.

High through High School, college had 1 unit of PE required,

which of course I ignored until a few months before

graduation. Long story short, I had been biking that campus

for 4 years, I made a deal with the coach and the registrar,

I wrote a paper on the merits of bike riding - pulled in an

" A " - LOL my transcript was all A's then...keep on using your

head; I am so thrilled your about to start college - hope you

get to ride alot and do post and let us know how your doing.

So I missed out on 'team sports' - I just kept going, loner style,

watched others and did alot more biking, swimming and riding.

Solitary pursuits, but they taught me alot about myself, others

and the world.

And Rick, while I don't know my type, as you described Flannery,

you could have been describing me at that age. My heart goes out

to you and Flan. Being a CMT kid is tough, but that too, taught

me many things and I think I got a head start academically, since

my parents pushed us to develop our minds. And, Ah yes, we all have

learned alot at these last (almost 4 years).
