, how much calcium do you take? I take up to 2,000 at times. Average maybe 1800 mg per day..it says not to take 2-3,000 mgs per day. It interferes with absorption of iodine. They say to focus more on magnesium than calcium. Does everyone here take the ATP co-factors along w/ the iodine or is that a recent discovery? I have started taking iodine today and the ATP cofactors. Delicious ideas to please the pickiest eaters. Watch the video on AOL Living.

What is "ATP co-factors"? I haven't been tested for about a year, but up through last year, I ALWAYS showed "off the charts" in my calcium levels. This is with the hair analysis AND blood tests. I have not taken a calcium supplement in a long time. (And I can't/don't eat/drink dairy!) I was told, after my first bone density test, that it was "good" .. there was a little bit of deterioration (not sure I have my terminology correct here) .. but for my age it was fine. Since I have been on Dr. B's protocol (AND transdermal magnesium oil), I have had another bone scan (second one in five years). Results actually showed improvement! Bone density is an issue for me because my mom has some osteoporosis. So I do try to keep on eye on it. Best, GloHART518@... wrote: , how much calcium do you take? I take up to 2,000 at times. I take 1800 mg calcium, 2000 D, and 800 mg magnesium per day. I also supplement the magnesium with mag. oil, so I get plenty of that. I do take the co factors and I find that it makes a difference in the way I feel when I take iodine.

i'm always curious about this....because I can't quite understand why

health-oriented folks get mammos and bone density tests and some

other tests...

but what would you do differently if the bone scan results showed a

problem? or is this just a matter of not minding paying the money

because you want to know? interested in comments from anyone who

regularly gets bone scan test....

It is OPTIMOX's B2/B3 combo http://www.vrp.com/ProductPage.aspx?ProdID=9145 Dr. B had me on it for a while. It seems to help most hashi's folks have more energy.

I believe it is high calcium in the hair that signifies a mineral transport issue due to mercury toxicity according to Andy Cutler.

The magnesium will help with your calcium absorption in the bones. I also recently read that strontium is a good bone mineral.

I have been taking it for a little while and like it a lot! I take it with my multi vitamin. I thought it was time release though, and the bottle I just bought from VRP is not time release.

ATP Cofactors has only been available to the public for about 6 mos. I have been on it for over a year because I am in Dr. Abraham's study of cancer and iodine. It is nothing more than a specific combination of B2 & B3 vitamins. It enhances ATP function in the cell thus increasing metabolism. Many feel an immediate increase in energy when starting to take it. I did not.
