Guest guest Posted July 22, 1999 Report Share Posted July 22, 1999 I had my endocrinology appt today. I was a bit frustrated because my doctor was late (he was spending time discussing treatment options with another patient). I was actually glad for that because I figured he would spend a lot of time with me. Well, that was wrong. After waiting for 2 hours, he talked to me briefly about my symptoms and ordered a blood test. He said that " looking " at me, he didn't believe I have hypothyroidism. However, he did seem to feel free to lecture me for about 5 minutes about exercise...I guess when they see that you are 200 pounds, and you don't " look " like you have a thyroid disorder, and you are also a vegetarian, there is only the lack of exercise factor to explain that.
Needless to say, I am disappointed and frustrated. He did order the complete blood test for me which I was be getting the results of next week. In the meantime, he suggests that I go to the YWCA and start swimming... & lt;slightly frustrated... & gt;
Bridget Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
