Guest guest
Hi Guys, I have had reconstruction surgery on both feet. My right three times and my left once. I am due to have the left done again. I have never had any fusion done. They have rebuilt them and they are great. I am 52 I was first diagnosed with pes cavus feet at 7 and put on crutches then I was told I would be in a wheel chair by 40. I do not think fusion is a good idea for a 17 YO sorry. There are some great orthopaedic surgeons here in Australia they know nothing Of CMT but can fix feet have a look at my photos at http://photos./leelebrian there is a copy of an Xray of the work on my right foot and I still have most movement in my feet and still can walk and stand unsteady standing still but standing all the same.
