Guest guest
For JD, and all, I wrote to Ron Schenkenberger (Director of Research Administration) at MDA to inquire their policy of making gifts to MDA especially for CMT. This is his reply: " Thank you for your e-mail inquiring about whether gifts to MDA can be designated for a specific disorder. They can. Such gifts must be transmitted with a letter or notation on the check indicated the funds are to be restricted for use for a specific disorder. With regard to CMT research, this Association's current 3-year commitment is some $2.5 million. This is in addition to MDA's comprehensive services program for individuals with CMT. For information about how the Association allocates its resources please refer to the MDA Annual Report available on the Association's Web site at www.mdausa.org.
