Thank you for your kind and helpful reply.

You asked how long I have been taking Armour, I think it is approx 14

months. The reason I say " I think " is because I have to make my own

notes at my local Group Practise will only prescribe Levthyroxine (I

dont think they know much about Armour) so I obtain Armour from a GP

in Lincolnshire who my sister used to go to. I think he is semi

retired now but supplies Armour to me by post and is always there for

me either by email or telephone and he does this FOR FREE. What a

wonderful man!

My last increase was 2/3 weeks ago (by 15mg) and I intend to increase

again soon by another 15mg which will take me up to 120mg per day.

My group practice do give me blood tests but sometimes question me as

I am self treating with Armour and have shown dissaproval before

today. I dont know if they will give me extra test for T3, iron or

adrenal. Meanwhile I will check the FILES as you suggest.

As regards supplements I take B-Complex B12 and I am going to back on

Q10. I will look into Selenium now too. Do you have any views on

Q10?

I often feel guilty as there are people much worse off but I know I

am not living my life properly because something is stopping me doing

normal everyday things even when I am not tired. It is frustrating

and quite weird but I am determined to get through it and maybe then

I will be able to help people on this forum as you do.

Love Suzanne

Hi Steve - you are very welcome and I hope what we do at TPA

will help you regain your normal health eventually. It needs determination,

assertiveness and a little learning about how the different glands work to help

you move forward. I think a great number of our members know a lot more about

their specific illness than their doctors do, because doctors have not been

taught properly and they have little to no time to take time out to do whatever

research is necessary. Doctors take the word of the BTA or the RCP (they are

'supposed' to be the experts after all), but they never question any of the

statements they make, just follow them blindly, which is what is causing all

the problems in patients being given a correct diagnosis and given a choice of

treatment.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and I hope you are now

on the right road to finding it.

Luv - Sheila

I would just like to thank you personally for

all the hard work and information you provide to us, you are a true life

safer/helper.

Today i was having a low moment and i read through some of your posts and the

information you provide is amazing, and fingers crossed ive managed to get an

appointment with one of the doctors from the " good doc " list you

provided and they are covered by my works health care. It seems too good to be

true they also said any tests i need they can do them on the nhs for me so if

all goes well i should be able to get my minerals, sodium/potassium checked

without forking out money which i didnt have.

Thank you

Steve

Yes Thank you very much Sheila and indeed all the other advisors on this

forum.. After a visit to Dr P on Sunday who confirmed everything you have all

advised I feel confident that I will get well over the next few months. Your

support has and will be invaluable. Especially as I am going to be " self

medicating " .

Love Debbie
