Actually, no one in my family has any problems with their hands. My dad's

family is where we inherited CMT and all only show symptons of the feet -

drop foot, numbness, high arch, etc. I do notice that my son pulls his

right arm in close to his body. This is the same side that he has drop foot

on. So who knows. We have talked a little about genetic testing - he says

he won't have children if there is the chance of passing this on.

Hopefully, with maturity, that idea will change. I think eventually he will

face this and deal with it, but right now he doesn't see the point and is

afraid of the psychological impact. So for now, all I can do is pray and

hope that I can help him thru this when the time comes.
