Guest guest
Hey ... First of all welcome to the group. I am 24 and I have never been diagnosed with CMT, but my mother has been and I am very symptomatic. It's just my opinion, but I don't feel that I need a formal diagnosis. I know that I have the disease and that there are no proven treatments. I do follow the suggested guidelines though on what vitamins may be beneficial and I try to stay away from any toxins that may make the disease worse. I would suggest just speaking with your son to make sure that he knows the gravity of the situation and that there are things that he should be doing to take better care of himself since he probably does have this special condition. Anyways, I hope the advice helps...we all have to come to grips with this on our own terms...I know one day it just hit me and I accepted it. Good luck in the future.
