Hi my name is I am 15 from Alabama, I would like to welcome you to the

group. My suggestion with the question about whether or not you should push

your son to get diagnosed is not to. Really in truly i dont think it makes

much of a difference if a doctor tells you what you have or not. He will

learn, or probably already has learned his limits and the things he needs to

avoid by paying attention to his body. With CMT because everyone has so many

different effects there is no need in a doctor scaring you with the details

of every effect of CMT when most of the time half of the symptoms that other

people encounter are nothing like the ones you have. As far as I see it is

your son knows he is in pain, and it isnt worth the trouble, time, or money

to get some big wig to tell him he is. He knows what hurts him so it is

totally useless to have to pay a doctor to remind him. All I suggest is for

you to research CMT and make sure that he is taking precautions with things

such as vitamins and certain medications which can be harmful. And you just

need to help him learn to pace himself without reminding him of the disease.

I wish you the best in your decision.

Sorry I am so opinionated, lol i just really have had bad experiences with
