Guest guest
Thanks Amy,....I do feel good knowing that I'm strong anought to push myself to the limits. Its kind of like I want to make a deal with my body...hey I'll keep this up for the rest of my life if you let me loose 10-15lbs...then I'll never complain again. Promise. My body drives a hard bargain though. Gosh I miss marching band...I never felt like was exercising but that mixed with my own workout on the side kept me at about 5lbs lighter than I am now. Still not bikini shape though lol. Just once in my life ...I want to wear one. :-# In a message dated Fri, 11 Feb 2000 12:08:24 PM Eastern Standard Time, Aimattae@... writes: > In a message dated 02/11/2000 8:58:45 AM Pacific Standard Time, > GalofGOP@... writes: > > << Sorry for the vent!!!! > > >> > > Don't be sorry about venting, that's what we are here for, to listen. I get alot of fruit in my meals. I try to cook using fruit since it helps make things sweet :-) Oatmeal is the easiest thing for me sinceI eat at my desk and one packet never fills me up. I'm conidering getting some more egg beaters and pre-making omelettes on the weekend for all week. Omelettes with no cheese just vegies and salsa might be good. OR I might rotate that with the oatmeal. I eat low fat/no fat salad dressings. Most average 20-40 calories per two tbsp.s my typical salad is mixed greens, lots of onions, green onions, occassionally carrots, ocassionaly sun dried tomatoes, occasionally egg beaters (if I plan on not eating much meat), sometimes I use cheed sparingly, a sprinkling of fat free croutons and Light Pecan Roasted Sun Dried Tomato Ranch or a light Greek Vinigrette I LOVE SALAD!!! Does anyone else have the problem of not being able to fill up on weight watchers TV dinners? IT just wets my appetitte...but I never know what to add with it that would be filling. If I werent watching what I eat, bread with garlic butter, cheesecake and a Ameretto Sour lol BTW who ever suggested wine spritzers at bars...THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I'm drinking a sophisticated drink (like when you were young and has Shirley Temples) but w/o all the calories!!!!!!! I'm scared to add any more fat to my diet because of when I do splurge. Its like I need a reserve of fat I can eat for the week all at once. My fiance wont let me walk by myself but wont walk with me very often<sigh> I want to get inline skates (when I get the money) and try skating on the weekends to add in a " sport " . I really, really want the Taebo Combat video. I know I could really get into that!!! In the meantime does anyone know of any videos incoporating a full size punching bag?? I love my bag...but I can only do it for a few minutes without some direction. Who thinks her fiance looks " sexiest " when he works out with me and is punching on the bag...and look silliest when he Taebo's because the poor boy has no rhythem. Those WW tv dinners are just a snack for me and I always have extra veggies, salad or soup with them. Try nuts (almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds) for your snacks or munching cuz they have the *good* fats. Those are the hardest ones to get off. I feel the same way about being pretty toned, but there's this little layer of fat over my stomach muscles that I'd really like to get rid of. What helped keep me motivated was seeing TQ on QVC this morning. Her stomach has come a long way in this past year. She was really toned. If you notice in most of the videos, she's always wearing a tank top that doesn't really show her stomach. Well, this morning she had on a shirt that showed her whole stomach (it might of just been a jogbra or a taebo shirt cut and tied). She has really toned up those muscles. I think it just takes a lot of time. I'm definitely stuck at this weight right now, but that's ok...because my body has undergone enormous change in the last year, and maybe it just needs to regroup for awhile. I know that if I keep doing what I am doing, that I will continue to tone and that I will eventually reach my goal. Just keep doing what you are doing and remember that it's harder when you only have a few pounds to lose to get to your goal. Keep posting and maybe you will get some motivation from everyone here. Guest guest
-I've seen you on videos and believe me, you look incredible. I did not see that layer of fat on your abs that you're talking about. Be proud of where you're at right now. -Your diet really does sound good. The only thing I can suggest, is cutting out the Snackwells and have a piece of fruit instead. You didn't mention the type of bread you're using, but you might want to substitute a pita bread or a wrap for your bread. Too many starchy/processed carbs. in your diet will retain water. Try it and see if it helps. Your dinner is very healthy and I definitely would not change a thing. One thing that I've learned, is making your starch carb your dessert. Have a huge salad and a nice piece of lean meat and a little bit of your starchy carbs. Don't be afraid of adding a little fat into your diet. Adding fat into your diet will keep your cravings down, make you feel fuller longer and your body needs some fats.

Guest guest
Amy-I've been there, too! In fact, I'm slowly headed out of one of these moods. This last time around was my fault. I hit the ol' wall, a total burnout, something that is real and something that I haven't done in years. It all started right before my husband left on his trip. I wasn't sleeping well at all and I was doing two workouts a day. My sleep pattern got even worse while he was gone and I still did two hard workouts a day. Then I hit the wall. My mental clarity went downhill, lots of dizzy spells, etc. My physical wellness was shot, too and my lower back hurt so much that I honestly thought I messed something up. I've had three surgeries and it's now fused. I thought I had ruptured a disc either below or above the fusion. Anyway, I didn't work out at all on Monday and I've limited my workouts to 30 min. to 45 min. a day, with no second workout in the afternoon. I'm slowly starting to feel better both mentally and physically. I'm better at preaching than what I practice. Listen to your body.
