Hi Tammy,My suggestion would be to raise your calories a little bit, and lower your carbs. Skip the fruit but add some extra protein. I had the same trouble my first round of the diet, with dizzyness and complete lack of energy. I used the sublingual drops. It helped me a great deal to lean heavily on protein for my calories and stay completely away from anything starch or sweet, including artificial sweeteners. You might also try supplementing with vitamin D, and magnesium. Magnesium will help speed up metabolism. I would suggest a laxative tea to help your digestive system process better.Just some ideas to try...Holly BFrom: Tammy <sjegen@...> Sent: Friday, October 7, 2011 9:44 AMSubject: My HCG Journey, advice appreciated

Hi!

I am looking for a little advice with a few of the issues that have arisen since

starting HCG.

Im Sheila. My husband & I started our journey Saturday the 24th with a strong 2

day load (boy that was fun!)

We are dosing 125iu prescription Corion from AllDayChemist intramuscularly. We

are hoping to complete 40 injection days, as well as a properly followed p3 & p4.

1st issue: The injections themselves dont hurt going in but my thighs feel like

pin cushions! Man are they sore... I alternate quads & try to inject into the

least sensitive spot on the top of my thighs. I am afraid to inject into arms or

hamstrings and risk hitting a nerve...we are using 29 gauge 1/2" Walgreens

insulin syringes.

We are R1,P2,VLCD12

I have lost 7 pounds from my preload weight, has lost 10.

(I gained 3 pounds with the load, gained 10) Is this good?

I started at 160 and now I am at 153. I am very strong and muscular with a

medium frame @ 5'4". is large, 6'2", looks like a line backer & started at

265.

The 2nd and main issue is the way we feel.

The elation that we feel every morning after stepping on the scale is quickly

averted when the fatigue hits.

Only speaking for myself, I can tell you all without exaggeration that I have

NEVER felt worse in my life. I have trouble getting out of bed. My muscles feel

like they are in complete atrophy and it hurts to walk up the stairs. I feel

totally depleted of both physical and even mental energy. I feel literally dizzy

and I almost fell at work. This is not only a problem because of daily life with

2 kids but also because I teach fitness during the day and bar tend 2 nights a

weeks. Any suggestions?

Last night I even "cheated" and ate an extra apple, a container of nonfat Fage

yogurt and had 2 extra melba toasts to see if this would help with today. To be

honest so far it has helped and its 10 am. I already taught a class and normally

I would be so depleted that I couldn't even make it into the bath.

Last nights "cheat" brought me up to 700 calories. I did not gain this morning.

Is this a viable option for me? I mean to up the calories a bit?

The last issue is my digestive system.

I only go number 2 about every 3 days & when I do its very hard and very little.

Its making me crabby! I also have this LOUD growling in my stomach that is

downright embarrassing!

(I know, TMI!) Anyway, in order to even "go" I have resorted to using 4-6 senna

root colon cleanse tablets and its still not a very good "go"!

Sorry for the length of this post but i know I am going to be asked for "more

information" so I am trying to include it all now. :)

As far as our diet, TONS of water! I actually went to Target & bought 4, 2quart

containers. I fill them up with water and each with a different "flavor". (I add

1 to each: fresh mint leaves, 2 sliced strawberries, 1/4 sliced lemon & 1/4

sliced orange). I drink all 4 every day for a total of 8quarts of water (Im in

the bathroom all day & NIGHT!) I also have a tea and a coffee.

Food. I made homemade stock. Roasted chicken and beef bones & simmered for a

whole day. Chilled and skimmed of all fat. I use these in the recipes that I

have been following in the HCG Diet, Tammy Skyes cookbook.

I measure all our protein. I try to fill up on my one veg but my husband refuses

to eat vegetables all together. So he just has his 2 apples.

A typical day looks like this:

Breakfast: coffee

Snack after workout at 11: 1 small apple

Lunch: 4 romaine leaves wrapped around 100g chic breast and 2 thin grissini

Dinner: Soup made with stock, 1 vegetable and 100 g chic & 2 melba

Dessert: one baked small apple with cinnamon, and Truvia.

I also have been chewing Xylitol gum throughout the day. My husband drinks 2

Zevia (stevia) sodas from Whole Foods.

Dont get me wrong, I am VERY happy with the results thus far. (even though I

wish I were closer to the 1 pound a day mark...) I am just trying to share our

experiences and get a little support and a few suggestions to make this process

a little more enjoyable.

Speaking of which, Monday I turn 41. I have never had a birthday without food &

wine being the main focus. God help me :)...

Thank You ALL :)

Hi TammyI took a lot of supplements before I started HCG and  my doctor said to keep taking everything but fish oil things I think work are B-12 Biotin and B-2 I also added Potassium since we get none of that….I also have trouble going to the bathroom and every other night I have a cup of Smooth move tea works like clockwork the next morning my doctor clearly does not recommend exercise because of the low calorie but can’t help myself and do some light exercise almost every day walking or stationary bike for half an hour but I add more calories on those days just to stave off hunger, my husband is also doing HCG and he runs 2 ½ miles every day and seems to have no problem but he is also taking the B-12 potassium and a multivitamin so you might want to add some vitamins the first week was pretty rough energy wise but the body seems to be use to it we are a month in I’ve lost 22lbs slowed down a bit from the beginning but feel pretty good energy isn’t where it should be but everyday is better and as the scale goes down its easier to handle also….good luck hope this helps. Having recently finished phase2 (now at the end of phase 3)I am a bit surprised

you are so weak and tired. I felt great the entire time except for a couple of

days at the end of week one, phase 2. At that time, I got an injection of B12

from the clinic, and I also got a bottle of vitimin B12's that I took every

morning. I also found that just getting outside for a bit every day really

boosts energy. My breakfast used to be coffee, but I hated it black, so I gave

that up. Lunch was the allowed amount of chicken or fish, some romaine leaves

using Waldon's totally free of everything salad dressing (only the Ceasar was

palatable. lol), and 1/2 a grapefruit. Dinner was basically the same thing,

but followed by an apple. I drank lots of water the first week or so, then

added unsweetened tea. (but used Stevia) The first week I lost a lot of lbs,

and I was thrilled. The 2nd week I lost more, although not as much. Same week

for weeks 3, 4 and so on. Definantely a slowing down for sure. In all, I have

lost 21 lbs. Really good considering it was 40 days, but still, I was

frustrated it wasn't 40 lbs! As for the injections, I injected myself in the

stomach just below and off to the side of my belly button, alternating sides,

every day as I was instructed. Never any pain or problems. Per the other

issue...well..less in equals less out! I too " went " only every 3 days, and it

was fine. I know it gets really boring eating the same food every day, but hang

in there.

Their seems to be a few things that stick out for me. The first one is it sounds like you are doing WAY too much physical activity.  You were not specific as to what you are teaching but, I know you are supposed to limit it to a nice walk or maybe yoga, Pilate's class. I am used to hitting the gym for 2-4 classes a day. For my HCG 40 days I have limited it to the Reformer class and walks.

Also, I noticed you are eating 2 apples a day. I know you are not supposed to eat the same thing twice in a day. If you have a apple for one then, you should pick something else for the second. Same with protein and veggies.

The book Pounds & Inches does say you will not have a BM but every 3-4 days. As far as constipation, Green tea helps me. It seems like you guys are on a good path with the weight loss! I do understand your fear of your birthday coming up...my 39th is in November and I too celebrate in style! I love to celebrate with food and wine! I live in Canadian wine country and it is our hobby/past time! I decided to schedule a whole day at the spa on my birthday. I already have it booked!:) As far as the wine, I may indulge in one small glass of one of my favorite reds considering I will be in phase 3 then.  And I will plan a special yummy phase 3 dinner at home!:) Good luck and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!:)

Hi Tammy,

I have four days left of phase II before I'm off the injections and then the 3 days that follow. I have been semi dizzy this whole time and I don't say that to scare you. It's been manageable, but unnerving to say the least. I lost 28 pounds so far and if I REALLY sit down to think about it that's almost 6 pounds a week. It's UNREAL results, so I had to expect my body may not fully adjust to things. I get B12 shots weekly although it does nothing for me. I agree with the person who said to get outside and try to do things. That DOES help me. I get winded even slightly doing something strenuous, so I've been taking it easy. I took a walk with my dog and I felt great but did feel like I had to sit down for 10 minutes when I came back.

I haven't cheated, mainly because I'm sooo scared I'll gain. I was so unhappy with myself physically and now that my clothes are fitting and are even loose, the journey no matter how difficult was worth it for me.

As far as your "going" problem, I took aloe pills. My dr. said to take two at night and I actually started taking three at night and that really helped and it absolutely DOES reflect on the scale.

I save my Melba snacks for in between meals. Even having ONE Melba with water when my stomach growled worked. I think they expand in the stomach. I would try that if you're really struggling with the growling.

I have moments I could chew my arm off..trust me. My husband caught me looking at restaurants on the computer...calculating my first phase III meal.

I inject in my stomach because that is where I have the most fat. I rotate the site and I know there is NO CHANCE of hitting anything there.

BTW, I am 5'9" and started at 182. I gorged and got to 187. I'm down to 159. I was NOT in shape and it sounds like you are. I think if you have more to lose like I did then it comes off quicker. You may not have a lot to lose.

Good luck with your birthday. Think of the end result. That's what has kept me going.
