Well not really. It has almost four times the calories, fat and carbs of Melba Toast.

Melba toast is a regular slice of bread cut in half and sliced in half as well. But since the Melba crackers are about all you can get these days (Melba toast is somewhat passé), the plain crackers each have 12 calories, 0.1 grams fat, and 2.3 grams carbs, much lower than the fiber crispbread.

You really don't have to eat the Melba Toast or grissini if you don't want to or can't find it. It is not critical to the success of the plan.

I bought what is called Melba toast but I don't like it. I did not know it is a quarter of a bread slice.

Don't beat yourself up over it. Just go forward. It most likely did not screw it up a lot if at all.

Usually, if you are at the beginning, the likelihood of not losing is less than later in the 21 days of the program.

  • 2 years later...

In my supermarket it's in the bread aisle together w/ the grissini bread sticks. But I guess it depends where you shop. From: maryannesk <anneSK@...> Sent: Tuesday, October 25, 2011 10:53 AMSubject: Melba Toast

Where does everyone find the melba toast? In the cracker aisle or bread aisle?

I've looked everywhere - The only thing I can find is Old London Melba snacks. Is that right?
