Guest guest
Would those of you that experience these phantom odors please tell me your CMT diagnosis? I am curious to see if it is limited to any particular CMT or if it is a symptom of CMT in particular. One of my many neurologists (they changed every year with my blasted HMO changes) suggested I was a unique mutation). Bob

Guest guest
I don`t know what type I have, blood tests about 10 years ago were inconclusive. CMT1A was ruled out. I have a demyelinating type with nerves and muscles affected throughout the body. The oddities with my sense of smell started when I was pregnant with my second child and I hadn`t associated it with CMT but it could well be connected to nerve problems in the nasal area as I do have CMT problems in the eyes and teeth/jaw areas.
