Guest guest
, I bike too. Love it, always have - especially in the Fall for some reason. But I do it year round. Winter time I go mid-morning after the sun has warmed things up a bit. Seems to be envigorating. And , for both walking and biking, I go first thing in the morning. My muscles are rested and so I don't get fatigued. For both walking and biking, in the summer early in the morning is best with this dry heat we have here. Love sunrise. In the winter, for both I do wear gloves and ear muffs because the cool wind can sort of 'sting'. I also alternate days for the bike or walk - and do it 4 or 5 days a week, no more than that. And if for some reason I feel tired or get a cramp, I don't push and rest, then head home. The heat doesn't bother me, since it is dry, but I do have to plan for certain times outside, otherwise I'd dehydrate and burn, so the late summer evenings are garden time. I lived in the desert for so long guess I have adapted. I have learned to drink lots of water all through the day, summer/winter/whatever. , some people here go 'mall walking' indoors... winter and summer. Just walking a nearby mall, pretty simple - maybe that would work for you? ~ Gretchen
