Guest guest
Ok- I'm scared! I HAVE to lose this weight and I am looking for all the advice I can get. I purchased the drops from hcgquickloss.com I have read the doctor's pounds & inches manuscript. I know I have to carb load, although I really don't want to! My weight is 292lbs and I'm 5'6 " , but very active and about as fit as I can be for my weight, just turned 40. Thanks, Christy
Guest guest
Hi Christy,I just started on this diet again. I was on it last fall for 6 weeks, but have had some rough months in between (not related to the diet) and am glad to be getting back on track. I was a bit scared the first time I went on it, but found some things very helpful, which I'm doing again this time.Shop and stock up on food you will need, and make sure you plan ahead for your meals away from home. I ended up keeping salad makings at my office to have a salad with my protein at lunch. For me, this ended up being a better option.Make sure you don't eat the same thing every day. Try new recipes and mix it up so it doesn't get boring.Remember that this is a process of learning to eat healthier and not a race. Don't get discouraged if the weight isn't constantly melting off of you. Every person has a different rate of weight loss, and that's just fine.Keep moving. If you're active now and exercising, keep it up. That'll help you keep your muscle mass, which otherwise you might start losing on this diet (despite what some of the literature says). Find non-food ways to treat yourself. If you get discouraged along the way, just remember that none of us are perfect, and also try to remember why you're doing this. Do whatever works for you to stay motivated.BTW, I'm at about the same weight as you, but 10 years older. Last fall, I dropped 38 pounds on this diet in 6 weeks and was thrilled about that. Good for you for doing this now. I wish I'd known about this diet in my early 40's before developing more problems no doubt exacerbated by my weight.
