Guest guest
This is the same question I have right now. My son got his fevers at 9 months every 4 weeks very severe 104.5, vomiting, diarrhea and would last 4 to 5 days. Now at 20 months this past weekend he had a low grade fever of 99 to 100 and a lack of appetite, only for two days. The problem is that I don't know if anything else hurts on him b/c he cannot verbalize it very well yet. So I don't know if he's outgrowing it or its a remission- it may relate to stress level in the house I think. Also now seems to get random rashes, this week an itchy rash on his lower back and buttocks. Last week its was the back of his neck.
Guest guest
Hi, My son has had a rash before too. Not all the time and I especially noticed it during the bath..almost like the temperature change would make it worse. Josh started fevering when he was 2 years old and would fever every 14 days. The fevers would be very high and he would be nauseous and sometimes vomit. I also noticed he complained about his under arm area hurting when I picked him up and his legs would ache as well. We began treating him with steroids after one year. I treated his fever 3 times with steroids and he went into remission for one year. The fevers started up again exactly one year later. This go around he has the flu. I am hoping he is going into remission again because when the fevers are cycling he never gets sick! Hopefully that is the direction you are headed in as well! Thanks for the input. Blessings, Jen Kasick

Guest guest
I got some Coal Tar soap tonight at the health food store for $1.79 a bar and I haven't felt so mite free in AGES as after I showered with it. I forget the company that makes it, but I've seen these displays at a few health food stores. If you have mites, I strongly recommend giving it a shot. Short lasting, but definite relief. Guest guest
Denenorex shampoo, the type with coal tar, helped me many a night when I used it full body, left it on 2/3 minutes and scrubbed, to sleep the night through. Guest guest
For easy available items I'd go to Target, pick up a bar of Dr Bonner's lavender soap and Dr Bonners Liquid peppermint soap. At Walmart sea salt, cayenne pepper and Denorex shampoo, the type with coal tar. In the am, I'd wash first with the bar soap (scalp too), then take a quick bath in one squirt of the Dr Bonner's liquid peppermint, a handful of sea salt and 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of cayenne as tolerated, using a scubby while you are in the tub. The cayenne gets into your pores and forces them out and stays in after the bath and creates an unfavorable environment for them. Quickly rinse off after the bath in the shower. Mositurize after getting out. In the evening, wash with the Dr Bonner's bar soap, then the Denorex whole body 2/3 minutes and use a scrubby while it's on, rinse and dry off and moisturize. I'd do this every day. That's my 2 cents worth on a hotel treatment...lol. bob > > How do you get these bird mites off your skin? Guest guest
Salty - It seems that they are within the skin, in the digestive tract, and possibly elsewhere. While she is in these hotels, she should get Dead Sea salt and a couple of bottles of peroxide, and soak for a good long while in the tub. She should shower afterwards. She should also do some sort of colon cleanse (go to the health food stores - they have lots of products). Massaging some extra virgin coconut oil into her skin afterwards will help as well. Guest guest
You could make some crockpot hot process and sell it right away, but it will still shrink over time from the water evaporation. I'm not sure I would sell 1 week old CP soap, but I guess you could it just wouldn't be as mild or hard. Carol Help!! I need some input here. I have a show coming up in 10 days and am so far behind with soap, do any of you ever make it and sell as fresh made, of course it would have been on the drying rack for at least a week. Guest guest
Susie ~ I've helped soap along by putting the cut bars in the gas oven - turned off, warmed by the pilot light. Guest guest
If you don't want to do HP I would defiantly say that it is fresh soap or I would just cancel the show. I would not want to jeopardize my reputation by not saying anything. Legally when selling we are supposed to list the weight which would be hard to do with fresh soap. Guest guest
Susie, if you can visualize this.. you can take like a triangle of white paper and sort of wrap it on one end of the bar so it resembles a diaper and then put on there, something like i will be ready for my first bath on such and such date (ok ok its been one of those days LOL) Shaye Help!! Guest guest
By doing CPOP, you knock weeks off the curing time and still end up with a fine soap. You might lose an additional .1 or .2 oz./bar weeks later, but nothing that can't happen even after 4 weeks of curing time. Just label .1/oz. light, and you should be fine. I go by 2 weeks cure of HP or CPOP, but 10 days is close. :-) I don't think it will give you an inferior soap and ruin your rep. Of course, you'll want to test it to be sure it's cured enough, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't. Guest guest
I didn't mean it to sound harsh about ruining a reputation, but I was buying handmade soap from a local farmers market before I made soap and i bought some of my favorite scents and went to use them weeks later and they had shrank so much that they feel right out of the wrapper, so I took a bar I just bought and weighed it against the other older bars and they weighed a oz or more less. That did not make me a happy customer. That is the reason I mention that I would say something about them being fresh and that they might shrink . As far as being usable it would be fine of course but it would disappear faster. Carol PS I like Shaye's diaper idea. Help!! I need some input here. Guest guest
That's very understandable, Carol. I wouldn't be happy, either. I don't imagine that soaper meant to be unethical, but that's one of the basic packaging laws in our country is to have the weight correct. Nobody likes to feel cheated. Guest guest
CPOP works great or you could use a dehumidifier, it draws the moisture right out of them. You can stack the soap on screens in the closet with the dehumidifier running. ~Trina ________________________________ From: byrnebunch <ByrneBunch@...> Sent: Friday, September 4, 2009 8:07:19 PM Subject: Re: Help!!
