yup...and I'm only 28

Methotrexate - .6 1x a week (shot)

Kineret - 100mg. 1x a day (shot)

Lodine 300mg. 3x a day (only one other than Relafin that seems to help me,

but my insurance stopped covering Relafin years ago)

Neurontin 100mg 3x a day (Restless Leg Syndrome)

Minocycline 100 mg 2x a day

Folic Acid 2mg 1x a day

Other:

Aciphex 20mg 1x a day (GERD med)

Claritin-D 1x a day (Allergies)

Zyrtex 20mg. 1x a day (Allergies)

Busparine 5mg 2x a day (Anxiety)

Vitamins:

One-A-Day for Women

500 Calcium and D

E 400 IU

Selinium

C 400 mg

and just starting Evening Primrose Oil

*sigh*

I take the equivalent of what my mom, dad, and grandmother take added

together. Oh, well. At least I'm moving again. Just finished spring cleaning

the bathroom from top to bottom and even scrubbed the floor on my hands and

knees (with the use of kneeling pad) something I couldn't have done a few

months ago. :-)

Smile,

Becky

Are you sure you haven't been looking in my medicine cabinet? Between the

prescription pills, otc pills, ointments, solutions and supplements, I could

start my own pharmacy.

I'm like you, I take a list with me to every doctor's appt., optometry appt.,

and dentist appt. because I can't keep them straight if I don't. I have more

drugs in my cabinet than my parents combined, and they have their own health

problems at age 67 and 69 (open heart surgery, back surgery, glaucoma,

asthma). I am only 41!!! I can't imagine what its going to be like in

another 20 years!!! I can hardly wait. LOL!!!

What a list.

You might want to practice for Ron's pill counting

Olympics scheduled in July.

One question? Is your prednisone prescribed the way

you take the doses. I was always told splitting

prednisone in 2 doses or even taking it in the evening

led to increased chances of osteoporosis. Talk with

your main doctor and double check your dosing schedule

please.

Drug Interaction Warning

The November/December 1995 NAMI Advocate warned

of a potentially fatal drug interaction. It

involves selective

serotonin reuptake inhibitor antidepressants such

as

Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil and Luvox. Apparently, a

drug

interaction between these antidepressants and

dextromethorphan and/or pseudoephedrine, found in

over-the-counter cold remedies, can cause

excessive

serotonergic activity. Signs of this " serotonin

syndrome "

include changes in mental status, hypertension,

restlessness, myoclonus (sudden muscle

contraction),

hyperreflexia (accentuated reflexes), diaphoresis

(profuse perspiration), shivering and tremor.
