You are very welcome, Yanna!

Dr S does address substituting eggs, but for the protein serving, not for an apple. He says you can use 1 egg and three egg whites for the 100 g protein serving. (p. 63) Here is the quote:

"Many patients ask why eggs are not allowed. The contents of two good sized eggs are roughly equivalent to 100 grams of meat, but unfortunately the yolk contains a large amount of fat, which is undesirable. Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw - to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole. In countries where cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat, but no other cheeses are allowed."

I need breakfast....

Hello there,This is my second time around trying to do P2 protocol. The firsttime around I lost 12 pounds, but easily gained it back because I wason it less than 16 days (We moved from North Carolina to California).I'm having success this time around also: 10 pounds in 12 days. Ihave to admit that I have been a little hungry. Mornings tend to bethe worst. I usually start my morning (7am) with two cups of tea, andan apple. By 10:30am, I daydreaming about lunch. Lunch is at 12:30and I am sated until about 4:30. I eat dinner at 5:00pm.I'm wondering if instead of an apple at breakfast, I could eat a hardboiled egg? I read through Pounds and Inches, and am not able to findanything regarding the use of eggs. What do you guys think? At lunch and dinner, I've been living off of ground chicken breast(3oz) and cabbage (10oz). It tides me over because it is a lot of lowcalorie

food!Sincerely,YannaP.S. Thank you for those of you that have been keeping an hcg blog. Reading about your struggles and experiences has given me much hopethat hcg WILL work. Special thanks to apracticalidealist and Tammyfor their own explanation of the protocol and recipes!

Hi Yanna,

I too feel that way in the morning, not every morning but quite

often. I have decided to eat a bit of my protein first thing in the

morning, or late the night before. I just take a bit away from my

lunch or dinner portion. Sometimes i just nibble on my food throughout

the day. I keep track of my portions first so I don't go over my daily

allowed intake. I would imagine that using cinnamon in our tea in the

mornings would help regulate our blood sugars until lunch time. I hope

this helps. I completely understand what you are going through.

I am interested in hearing how others are doing regarding hunger,

terms of being hungry. I am doing sublingual and I increased my

doseage yesterday thinking that might help. I THOUGHT I WASN'T

SUPPOSED TO BE HUNGRY! Please help!

Hi Steve,

Are you drinking all of your water (2 to 2.5 liters per day)? Yerba Mate tea and an ACV cocktail helps to curb my cravings. Sometimes, you think that you are hungry when it is actually thirst or cravings.

If you can give more details, I can try to help. What are you eating and when? Which sublingual formula? What dose and how often?

Hi Steve,

I too have cravings at times. I don't really feel like my body is

starving or missing out on calories. I think we have spent so many

years eating things that were not healthy, that our bodies are missing

those it.

Hi Yanna,

Welcome to California! I too found myself getting hungry. I went to my local

Asian food

store (lots of those in Ca.) and got Shiritake Noodles (on line a well) and some

dashi

(Japanese boullion). I use half the noodles (no fat carbs or calories) and less

than 1/4 tsp

dashi to make a hot broth with something to chew. Makes a big difference. I have

sometimes taken a bit of the protein serving (3.5 oz. by the way) and added that

as well.

Half an apple baked with a bit of chicken and a little chicken stock, cayenne

and Bronner's

is satisfying when I am REALLY hungry.
