Guest guest
All I know is my experience, but since I am now in my 50's and was diagnosed with CMT as a child, I have been swimming at least three times a week, sometimes more, sometimes a bit less. I had to learn how to swim at my own pace - which is slow and steady. I feel that this exercise has enabled me to have a clear head, and helps me stay in shape. I think if I did not swim, I would go crazy, probably gain weight too. All my doctors over the years support my swim routines. But really, I don't do it for them - I do it for me. As for overuse of muscles, sure, have done that too, most likely will do it again. When that happens, I get extra sleep and add more potassium and magnesium supplements to my diet. It has all really been 'trial and error' in my life to achieve some sort of balance in all this. Anne
