My Introduction,

Hello, I am a 45 year old women, divorced, mother of 3, and grandmother of 1

and second on the way. I was diagnoised couple months ago with cmt type 2.

When i was born i had a 'muscle tone' problem and had many things to over

come as a baby and child. In the last few years and seen many doctors. 3

years ago i went to a specialist for many of the sytoms i have now and after

some testing told me i had b12 definacy and was given b12 shot and sent on

my way. Several months ago I was losing alot of feelings in my feet, legs

trouble with my hands, and back. So i went to the doctor and told about my

b12 and had that checked and sure enough was very low. they figure i have

pernious anemia which is cauing the b12 definacy..well the numbness,

trippin, fatigue etc hadn't gotten any better so my doctor decided to get me

into see specialist again and once again testing and was informed i have

cmt. In the last couple months the hands have become more problems, along

with my back. I was adopted so at moment trying to locate my birth family

to see if it ran in the family. I recieved email with invite to this group

but not sure how i got it. But I am glad to have more opportunity to be

able to read more on this subject and see how others cope and things they do

to get by..maybe even idea for help with a certain problem. Very nice to

meet you all.
