Guest guest
Mark: Boy do I understand your frustration. I wasn't diagnosed with CMT until recently, so, wondered why I had loss of sensation in the vaginal area. I was also having a problem with incontience, said something to my gynecologist and was set up with a group that trained me in rediscovering those muscles and how to use them better. This I have found has also helped to an extent with sexual issues. Thank you for sharing and a belated welcome to the group. Sharon
Guest guest
Sharon, thank you for your empathy, understanding and input. I've likened the diminished sense of sexual feeling to this: eating one of your favorite meals -- which you just KNOW tastes really good -- a few hours after you've burned your tongue. It doesn't hurt, and your brain knows this is supposed to feel good, and it sort of does, but yet it's missing much of it's (good) intensity. Or, to put it more basically, it's like having sex with about 8 condoms on. I have noticed a very slight issue with incontinence as well for many years, though with care it really isn't a problem. Glad to hear you have had some success with the training you spoke of. Mark
