,

Last Spring, Dr. Vinci shared with me the name of the Pedorthist that he

taught to do the modifications for the orthoboot. I did contact them and

they sent me information on the procedure and also pictures of their work.

They do the work themselves, but were not able to interest other Pedorthists

in the procedure. I was discouraged, myself , because I do not live

anywheres close to them, the expense, and the fact that they said the

procedure is not covered by insurance. They do mention that if a doctor

perscribes the boots that maybe that would be a way around the insurance

problem.

Anyway, the information is as follows:

Gollihar's Shoe Store, Inc., Larry A. , C. Ped, 105 N.

Monroe, Versailles, MO. 65084, 573-378-4652.

footman@....

Good luck in your search. I hope the above information is a help to you

and even others reading this.

I wish everyone a happy and successful New Year.

Sharon:

Thank you so much for the information. As it happens, my mother lives near

St. Louis and I have a sister that lives in Mexico, MO. I am not familiar

with where Versailles, MO is, but hopefully it will be close enough to stay

with a relative while I have them made. I go to my doctor on Jan. 6, so I

will check with him about writing a prescription. He has been so good to me

about that sort of thing during this whole surgery deal, I don't think he

will have a problem doing that for me. Again, thank you for the

information. I will also be checking the site for pics and such to

take with me. Anyway, I'll keep you posted on how it all works out. Hope

you have a happy, healthy New Year!
