Guest guest
Oh , I feel for you. Hang on; don't do anything yet. It sounds like your first Dr. had the right readings on your EMG and is able to certify that you can no longer work and are disabled under the SSA guidelines. My question is, did you have the NCV test done too? If the SSA requires another test (which sounds sort of luducrious at this point), they will have you get one. Yes, the EMG/NCV test does hurt - even with the smaller needles used now. Another test will most likely feel the same. Seems like the second set of Drs. just want to give you more tests! I have learned to stick with ONE doctor - no files come up 'missing' and everyone in the office knows me. Nothing gets lost and I am treated with respect. I get copies of all reports and correspondence too, to keep for my files and records. Did I give you that group address for people applying for SSDI? I would encourage you to join, if even for a while until you are through with the SSDI initial process. The people there are ALL just about where you are - you may get some really good feedback. Hang in there. ~ G
