: Go to the Scoliosis Research Society web page. Search the Fellowship

Registry. I have provided a link for you here for doctors in California. Look

for a doctor who is an " active " member in your area. He would be a good place to

start. My doctor was the first one on the list, Behrooz Akbarnia. He was a

wonderful doctor. My surgery was a huge deal, but now I have no pain. I hope you

find a doctor who can give you the kind of relief that Dr. Akbarnia gave me.

No Rods Either

Hi all

hope this finds everyone as pain free as possible. I do not have rods either.

My 1st

message was pretty desperate which I'm still at. But few hours on heat ice and

my meds

are making the pain bearable. Anyway, When looking for a scoliosis group this

seemed to

be the best one out there!.

To the young people on board: I have mixed feelings about not having had the

surgery. I

see so many people that had even more problems with the surgery than without.

I have

had alot of my years hurting but not so horrible that I could not enjoy the

things around

me and go to a good movie once in awhile (NOW can't sit)

Anyway, didn't want you all to think I joined just to complain. Its been 2

weeks of pure

hell for the 1st time in along time because we've just cut some of my meds

back. If I am

to try some surgery in the present (diff docs have mentioned diff things but

that was a

while ago and I still have not found anyone good near us.

Well, I do hope to hear from you. My 1st email a few hours ago is desperate

and if anyone

can answer some of the questions I would truely appreciate it. Does this board

have a

good doctor list?

Thanks for the link. I am glad to see my son's doctor
