,

I know my husband, who is a dentist, uses lidocaine to numb an area in a

person's mouth. It is done with an injection. So, if you have ever been to the

dentist and had a filling, chances are you have had lidocaine. Now, you stated

it would be a cream, so I do not believe a cream would be near the strength of

an injection. I really don't believe you have anything to worry about, but I

would let you doctor know you have CMT.
