Guest guest
Randie said the most important qualifier ... " For me ... " . We all have varying pain tolerance levels, and what one person may find intense is quite tolerable to another. Randie also brought up another important point mentioning missing pain meds (in this instance, while sleeping). I didn't have that particular issue, but I agree 100% - it is MUCH more difficult to get comfortable once pain meds go into deficit. That's definitely something you want to avoid, but also something you and your son should be able to define fairly early post-op. Regards, Pam > > For me it was very intense and focused on my back, of course. Not to scare you, but each time, and I've had 4 now, when I first wake up it's awful. Then I start complaining to the nurse for medicine and it's never enough or fast enough. I always laid awake all night the first night because I'd fall asleep inbetween pushing my morphine button then wake up in pain. If you're there with him, you can push the button for him, but either way, the first 2 days are bad.
