Guest guest
I have very poor eyesight (near sighted and severe astigmitism) and the line that my CMT passed down, all those with CMT (at least suspected to have CMT) had very poor eyesight too, heavy eyelids, one eyelid seeming to droop more than the other. It is one of the reasons that my nuerologist was 'confused' and all though he had suspected CMT for a decade, he began to rule out CMT, the poor vision made him begin to wonder if it was mitochondrial in nature. But the genetic testing this past June finally sealed it, CMT type 1A . If it had been mitochondrial in nature I'd have been eligible to be part of a test study group that has had positive results using a high-tech vitamin and enezyme cocktail mix. So he had me genetically tested to 'make sure' and sure enough it came back as CMT. I had had a nerve biopsy and 2 muscle biopsies in the past.
