Guest guest
How far down are you fused? I am fused from T4 to L3 and gave birth to three children without any c-section. This was about 18 years after my surgery. I had no problems pushing or carrying them to term. But I would suggest you work on core strength throughout your pregnancy. Your back will need the extra support! Best of luck and congratulations! We just found out we are expecting. I was fused and had titanium rods put in from T4 to my pelvis last year. Has anyone else here given birth after surgery? My surgeon had told me to wait a year to try to conceive....I'm at almost one year exactly. Any tips?? Warnings? Anything will help!! It looks like the only way a non-citizen can get Medicaid in Florida is in the case of a medical emergency: Emergency Medical Assistance (EMA) For Non-Citizens Noncitizens, who are Medicaid eligible except for their citizenship status, may be eligible for Medicaid to cover a serious medical emergency. This includes the emergency labor and delivery of a child. Before Medicaid may be authorized, applicants must provide proof from a medical professional stating the treatment was due to an emergency condition. The proof also must include the dates of the emergency. > > i'm 25 .chinese.. i live in orlando florida.. > i think i get scoliosis with born > since 2006, i feel back pain till now. > in 2008 , i did x-ray , Scoliosis is 45¡£,like " s " shape in there > The condition is serious; i do need surgery. > i'm political asylum. now i think about medicaid . i have no job. > how can i apply that ?? coz i need to see a doctor now.. > > so how can i do ???? >
Guest guest
Oh, one other thing. I had epidurals for my last two children with no problems. The anesthesiologist for my last son refused to give me on as he was scared of the fusion, but we got the head of the department to come to our room and he did it without any issues. Guest guest
Roxanne, I don't have any personal experience with pregnancy after fusion to the pelvis (sacrum?). I have one daughter, and I was pregnant with her fourteen years after my first scoliosis fusion, which extended down to L2/L3. I had no real complications because of the fusion, except for the fact that the anesthesiologist wouldn't do an epidural because the fusion would make it riskier (harder to access the right spot). I had been experiencing back pain before my pregnancy, but it actually improved during my first and second trimesters. I didn't experience significant amounts of back pain until later in my third trimester, and I'm not sure how much was typical pregnancy-related back pain and how much was due to my fusion and underlying problems. I don't know if you still take any types of pain medication, but you'd definitely want to discuss that with your doctor ASAP. I can't give advice regarding prescription drugs, but I was told to stay away from ibuprofen during at least the earliest parts of my pregnancy. Tylenol was okay to take though. I am interested to see if anyone else had advice though. My husband and I have always wanted to have another child at some point, and I just had my fusion extended to the sacrum 2.5 months ago. My surgeon said that I would be able to still safely have kids, but I hadn't discussed an actual time frame with him yet. I was assuming that it would be at least a year. If you get any advice off-list, would you mind sharing it with me as well? Congratulations!
