You know I knew the builder for the stadium style cinemark theater. He

doesn't care about disabilities. He told me the ADA had to come in and

approve his plans. They made him put in more handicapped parking. So when he

was telling me this is asked him why more parking because LESS handicapped

people could go to the movies NOW!

I think we should all find out who we can complain too.

They just make the stadium style to save on space.

The ADA never should have approved this stadium seating. At ours we have 6

seats on the 3 or 4th row at the bottom with a few wheel chair spaces. There

is no way to watch the movie that close up. Its not even a full row. I was

told by the wife of one of the builders that the handicapped have the best

seats. Then she told me that in the U.S the ratio of handicapped people is

just a fraction compared to healthy people. So basically she said we don't

matter and the ADA is just a pain.

, oh what an attitude. This makes me angry; even with all the

disability awareness done AND the ADA passage, the disabled are still

sort of non-citizens to some people. I believe in the not too distant

future things will improve, however; but it is going to take more

activism.
