x-ray report

Hi Everyone,

I received a copy of x-rays done in December. I am not sure what

this all means, so I've come to the experts for help.

It says:

LS-SPINE WITH OBLIQUES

Three radiographs of the LS-Spine obtained in the upright position

without shoes demonstrates scoliosis of the LS-Spine with convexity to

the left side. (Does this mean I have a C-shaped curve to the left?)

No bony bar is noted. No vertebral anomalies seen. Pedicles are

intact. Paraspinal areas are unremarkable. (Is all of this good?)

Face joint arthropathy is noted at L4-5 and L5-S1 levels. (What does

this mean???)

Thanks for your help.

Am assuming LS means lumbosacral.

You have scoliosis that I guess would be idiopathic since they

identified no cause. I don't know if it is C shaped. Guess it could be

from the description.

Yes, that's all good.

You have arthritis of... could that be facet joint instead of face

joint?... at two levels.

, are you having primarily low back pain?

It basically means everything's normal except lumbar scoliosis with

convexity to left (spine sticking out to left) and you have

degenerative process at facet joints of L4/L5 and L5/S1...that's

probably due to increased stress on the joint due to scoliosis...it's

just another way of saying arthritis or the joint is getting old...

An important scientific innovation rarely makes its way by gradually

winning over and converting its opponents: it rarely happens that Saul

becomes . What does happen is that its opponents gradually die

out, and that the growing generation is familiarised with the ideas

from the beginning.

Hi ,

Yes, it is primarly low back pain.

I tried looking it up on the internet, but couldn't find any really

good descriptions.

Thanks.
