Guest guest
Fad shoe made in Taiwan designed by a Japanese " doctor " . I purchased an early version in '95. They pitch you forward on the ball of the foot when standing and quickly rock form heel to toe when walking. I found it impossible to run in them and after some use, they squeaked. The shoes were cheerfully replaced, but the new ones began to squeak too. Just another lesson on Early Adopter Avenue. Guest guest
These look like Janda's " balance shoes " that improve proprioception errors from ankle sprains or other habituated pedal weight-bearing restrictions from pain syndromes. Squeaky or not, I'm tempted... http://www.chiroweb.com/archives/12/07/22.html Sears PDX On May 1, 2006, at 2:37 PM, Sharron Fuchs wrote: > A person I work with asked me about these shoes. Guest guest
They are meant to be strength and proprioception aids. Therefore, gradual adaptation is advised. They are a training aid. Not daily footwear. However, some will sell them as such. These are great patient makers when they are worn to long too soon. Just like any exercise. Guest guest
I got my shoes and it is too soon to tell about the overall effects. They build cetain back supporting muscles. My back doesn't hurt as much walking in them. I even made it to the end of the street and back. I have not done that all summer.
Guest guest
Ever since I was fused to my sacrum I feel a jolting when I walk. It's only been 6 months so maybe it'll get better, but I wonder if these shoes would help with that. I feel almost like I want to walk on my tiptoes because when my heels go down it causes the jolting in my hips. Anyone else use them for that?
