Guest guest
Hello, I have never heard of that so I looked it up and if you haven't already, you should go to: http://osteoarthritis.about.com/od/painrelief/a/capsaicin.htm I was diagnosed in 1965 with scoliosis and since then have had 10 surgeries and any kind of follow up treatment you can imagine. I found a new pain management doctor and start some injection therapy. My spine is fused from T1-S1 so the sacroiliac joint is the only one not fused and due the hardware in my back, it will be a hit or miss. I hope it's a hit. If this doesn't work then I'm going to go for a neuro stimulator implant. I have compiled a list of websites devoted to scoliosis. Here it is. Good luck http://www.bonati.com/discussion/ http://www.scoliosis-assoc.org/ http://www.spinemd.com/about-us/ http://www.srs.org/ http://www.mypainspecialist.com/index.html http://www.spineuniverse.com/ http://www.brainandspine.org.uk/helpline/neurology_in_the_news/chronic_back.html http://www.scoliosis-support.org/ http://www.fixscoliosis.com/forum.php http://www.scoliosissystems.com/?gclid=CLfv_5z1l6YCFY9x5QodXUwFmw http://livingtwisted.wordpress.com/ http://www.scoliosis.org/forum/ http://www.scoliosisjournal.com/ http://www.liv.ac.uk/FacultyMedicine/ibse/ http://www.iscoliosis.com/ http://www.sdscoliosis.com/ > > Hello all , > > I had my fusion in march from the T9 thru the sacrum. Guest guest
I am fused from T4-S1 and have had 5 surgeries for various reasons. I also have pain in my side, in addition to some others that come and go. I take daily pain meds to ease the pain and in addition my mother does " Orthobionomy " on me. I don't know how I'd have survived all these years if not for her abilities. She finds muscles that are spasmed and/or crooked hips and that sort of thing. Often when my ribs start hurting really badly, it's due to immobilily in my pelvis. Granted, the fusion makes me pretty immobile, but not completely. And in spite of the rods and all, my body still shifts. If she were no longer able to work on my, I'd go find a very experienced body worker, not a chiropractor or a massage therapist but a person who knows orthobionomy. This is a very suttle form of minipulation that helps the body get back to where it needs to be. It helps only to a certain extent. Not enough to keep me from needing surgeries and medication, but enough to keep me from feeling desparate. It sounds like maybe it could benefit your circumstance. ________________________________ From: c <siillyy2000@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Tue, February 8, 2011 12:25:08 PM Subject: Capsation treatment after surgery? Â Hello all , I had my fusion in march from the T9 thru the sacrum. I have had no stop left side pain since then . My doctors finaly believed that I did indeed have pain and have now tried three treatments, none of which worked. They are now going to try capsation ( I maybe spelling that wrong ) from what they told me it is a very very hot chili pepper paste that the apply to affected area and leave on from 4 hrs. They will highly sedate me because they said it is very painful . He said I will still feel pain even though I will be sedated . Has anyone here heard of this ? Or has anyone else had it done ?
