Guest guest
I am new here. My daughter has scoliosis on the lower part of her spine. It really hasn't bothered her in the past but for the past year it has been causing a lot of discomfort for her. Her pediatrician told us not to worry too much about it. She just turned 19 years old 3 days ago. Two questions I have is: can scoliosis of the lumbar cause pain that is similar to having gynecological problems? Can scoliosis actually cause pain in the ovary area from pushing on them? My daughter has extreme pain and we thought it was due to having cysts on her ovaries. So far, all the extensive tests performed has proved that there is actually nothing out of the ordinary. Thank you for all your help and I do apologize for my ignorance in this matter. As I said, this is so new to me and I don't know where to begin. Janet
Guest guest
I'm interested in this too, I'm also the mother of a 19 y.o. (fused T2 to T12 in 2003) who is having gynecological issues - her gyno has tried a variety of pills but can't get her cycle regulated. She's miserable every month.I thought I remembered someone recently posting that they knew of research showing a correlation between scoliosis and unstable hormone levels. I'd appreciate any information anyone can share on this topic - especially, whether the scoliosis and hormones could both be part of a syndrome. ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever.
