Guest guest
Hello all! My name is Myers. I am a 22 year old from Austin, Texas (just moved here from Indiana!). I am a Certified Surgical Technologist and getting ready to go complete my B.S.in Biology from the University of Texas, and then hopefully on to Optometry School! I have been suffering from scoliosis since I was 9. The last time I had my scoliosis checked was when I was 17. My curve then was 54 Thoracic/33 Lumbar. My doctor released me from treatment, however, I am preparing to go see an Adult OrthoSpine doc here in Austin. My back (especially my right shoulder!) has been bothering me and causing pain to the point of nausea! Uh-oh! I have been through various treatments, from physical therapy to the ton Bending Brace. I am seriously considering surgery. Thank you for letting me join the group! I look forward to talking with everyone! Myers
Guest guest
Hi ! And welcome to the group. Let us know what your adult specialist has to say. I know how hard it can be to have a job where you are on your feet most of the time. That would lessen if (when :0) ) you become an Optometrist, would it not? Surgery is such a grueling place to work. Best of luck- I hope you get all your questions answered. Bea envypointers <envypointers@...> wrote: Hello all! My name is Myers.
