Guest guest
Welcome Peggy, Thank you for your introduction. I was diagnosed with CMT about 1962, way before I ever saw a neurologist. While I did have one foot surgery then, in my teens had terrible balance problems and muscle rigidity, especially when tired. I did see a cadre of neurologists through the years and was tested for everything ELSE! (FA, s, MS, MD, etc.) Everything for those tests was negative. I just went on and am living my life. No one in my family has/had CMT that I have been able to track/research. I have not had the DNA test for CMT. As I understand the DNA test only tests for a few types of CMT. The best management of CMT for me has been medication and orthotics in my shoes and I am OK. Again, welcome to . ~ Gretchen
