Guest guest
Dear ers, I wanted to reply to the posts of last week of 'episodes'. For 40 years I have CMT and I must say there has been nothing I would characterize as 'episodic' when it comes to my CMT experience. On the other hand, there have been changes, and by this I mean, I have had symptoms that come and go. Like muscle rigidity, tremors, different kinds of pain, etc. I am much happier now than years before, since medications, physical therapy, some good doctors, positive changes in diet and sleep habit all help to manage my life with Charcot Marie Tooth disease. Yes, I have had some truly outstanding periods of my life where physically I felt on top of the world! The latest of which was the vacation in the Cook Islands and snorkeling with the sea turtles! What a high! And Yes, as life has it, some things have got me down for awhile - like a 1991 car accident. Yes, what a 6 month bummer! So, changes, yes, and managing those - yes! But nothing 'episodic' with my CMT experience as I understand the term. I just roll with the changes and hope that I get to experience more of life with each wonderful day that I am graced to receive. ~ Gretchen
