Guest guest
Like to add that if you are standing in one area, the anti-fatigue mats work great. That was what I used when I worked as cashier and standing for 10 hours per day. One of my customers, at that time, would be walking all around a big box store for her work and would put carpet underlayment in her shoes. You do need good fitting-well supported shoes to start with for either of these suggestions, though. Llweyn Sent from my BlackBerry device on the Wireless Network Re: Pins and Needles on the soles of my feet Ellen, Burning pain is often nerve related and can be treated by neurontin sucessfully, but should be first studied by an expert to see if it's signal that your scoliosis has worsened or the fusion has not occurred at some level. Was the floor you were standing on a cement pad? What shoes were you wearing that day? Neuropathy (nerve pain) can extend to the feet or you may be developing Plantar Fasciitis from an ungiving surface and non-supportive footwear. If you have an med-high arch is there anything in your shoe to support it? I developed it wearing slippers on a driveway setting up for a garage sale. After a specialists accessed my feet I found resting my feet to rest on a frozen juice bottle (2 qts) helps a lot. Wearing better shoes and less unnecessary slab standing helps too. Note where your feet point during sleep on your back. If flat- straight out pointing to the walls P.F.. is a real possibility. If straight up to the ceiling, you are in a healthy position. One of the treatments is to wear a boot/cast like that prevents your ankle from letting your foot drop flat. Awkward, but it helps. Ice is easier whenever you are sitting. At first it stings a bit, then it numbs the pain. Not a doctor, just a complex patient. Jolene Morell
