Guest guest
Tpnya - I've done TONS of research into circumcision because I DON'T believe in it and have looked up so much info for others I love and their dear sons. I have NEVER come across anything that mentioned needing vit K for circumcision, and I know moehls don't even ask!! Is it possible that your ped is using the circ issue to strongarm you into vit K? If there is a connection I'd love to know about it. a in MA --- Tonya Walter <dtwalter@...> wrote: > right now my dh > wants the baby circ'd if it is a boy - whick from > what I understand we > would need vitK. Guest guest
they push vitamin k as a clotting issue. Both of my sons were circumcised... I'm just guessing that they had vit. k shot ... see how much I didn't know then? I didnt' even know that they gave vit k until recently. Just out of curiousity... if it's a vitamin injection.... why is it a bad thing. I've read many of you having denied this one at birth. Is there something else in it that makes it dangerous? Guest guest
A good way to avoid the Hep B vaccine in the hospital is to tell the staff that you want the baby to receive all vaccinations at your pediatrician's office. (You still have to be hypervigilant, but if they think you're just waiting a day or two, instead of not giving it at all, they ease up a little.) Guest guest
Just from what I know from my research on Vitamin K - you can eat alot of things with K in them in your last few weeks (green leafys etc...) and that it will pass to baby. Guest guest
, think very very carefully about the MMR. Especially if your child has been fully vaccinated. There is a ton of information on it. Go to google.com. type in MMR vaccine, and there begins your search. Also look on sheri nakkens webpage. i dont know the address off hand. Also go to google and type in Wakefield and you will see much research done on the MMR, autism etc. reconsider this vaccine, or at least be educated first. good for you for wondering about it! Guest guest
, I cannot point you anywhere better than what you'll find here. I would like to share some personal experience on chicken pox. All FOUR of my children came down with cp this past winter. None of them were given the vaccine. Believe it or not, my ped did not support it because she wanted her girl patients to have life long immunity and get it the old fashioned way to protect them in their childbearing years. I have two girls and two boys. 8, 6, 4 in Jan, and 2 in Feb. The first to get it was the 6yr old girl. She was the index case and did really well. She was sicker than what I had counted on, but the first couple of days she slept ALOT, had moderate temp., and a good breakout. (Which remember, YOU WANT THEM TO HAVE A GOOD BREAKOUT) Real warm showers, soft light, and keeping bundled up will promote the child from developing them internally, which you DO NOT want.<wink> Next in line, 12 days later was the my oldest son who was getting ready to turn three at the time. We were concerned about him because he has severe eczema and there was a threat of infection, which he did get and was treated for with antibiotics. Again, temp, good outbreak, lots of sleep. A little worse than the first one but manageable. Next one was the oldest, 14 days after the first one. OH MY GOODNESS! Each case was getting more severe than the one before it. She had strep throat on top of chicken pox! She was very sick, feverish, lethargic, but she had a good outbreak and some staff, but after the initial stress she was fine too. She was treated for the strep and we rode it out. Now comes the baby. He was only 10 and a half months old. We are talking severe cp! He was covered from head to toe. He too had eczema and it turned out to be more serious with him. Cellulitis took over his left eye, his thumb and fingers, the other hand, and two or three other places on his body. The poor little guys was miserable and by this time I was extremely exhausted. He was more feverish than the others and I knew to be concerned. His hands and eye were so swollen. We went to see the dr. and he was immediately put in the hospital for iv antibiotics. Three days later we were back home, healing was taking place and the worst was finally over. HOORAY!! We got it, and we got it over with. The first case was easy and then each one after got worse, but it is something that I will never have to worry about again. As bad as we had it, and as much as I know now, I am so happy that they had the real thing. Gather all you can on the vaccine. Hope you guys don't mind me sharing that. Guest guest
my niece's son that had them after the vaccine was just covered head to toe.... Guest guest
Sheri, I wish I had known so much more then as well. It was doing the research about cp that led me to an AP site where I came across all the dangers of vaccs in the first place. I am still new to this whole non-vaccs practice and I am very frightened. My oldest daughter has asthma. She is anaphylactic to milk, has environmental allergies and has been receiving allergy shots for 4 years now. I feel almost embarrassed to put that out here but I right now I am very weak, mentally. We just came from the drs. office and I was confronted about the baby again. I had taken in a few of the articles I have gotten here. I was informed they were " yellow journalism " and not scientifically based. I know I need a new dr for the kids but I don't have much support in finding a new one. I never had even heard of Homeopathy until I signed up here.:-( Now I am in information overload and don't know where to turn to for help in processing it all. I really don't even know the right questions to ask. I've been taking the boys to an allergist and now he has been called in by our Ped to " gang up on me " and railroad me into giving the baby the DTaP and the polio. At one point this afternoon I could see the frustration in the drs. face when once she threw up her hands and turned her back to me. hehehe, I must have said something that tweaked a nerve, huh? Lots to process and lots to learn. So glad to be a part of the wealth of info here. Guest guest
Angelia, You might also contact Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, who does this sort of thing (naets, plus, kind of) - her information can be found in the workshops section of my website. She might know of someone good nearby. Let me know how that works out, but if you can find an authorized person closer to you, that would be better, because if your child has a lot of allergies, you might need to visit quite a few times. Guest guest
OHHHHHHHH Angelia, I don't know his name, but there is supposed to be an awesome homeopathic doc in Chattanooga. I first learned of him when I decided to go non-vax. Apparently he has something like 11 children all unvaxed, never been to an allopath .... all that jazz.... this is just what I got through the grapevine. I don't know if he is classical or not. If you want, I have a friend that is in Cleveland (incidentally where my parents and 2 sisters now reside). Let me know, I'll see what I can do. Guest guest
>How did you lose the first 50? Just regular diet and exercise?? Nice to meet you! Lesley Believe it or not, I was training to walk a marathon! I ended up doing a half marathon last January, another one in June, and will do my third this Sunday. Then, I'm taking a break from walking and switching to water exercise for 6 months. I'll start training for next year's marathon at the end of July. You can read more about it at http://www.pledgepage.com/suerecchia Sue
