Guest guest
Thank you for the warm welcomes everyone:) Kathleen we share a very similar story! Guest guest
Hi, ! As for not having had any reactions, you describe two of your children, Caleb and Annette, as having problems that are considered classic vaccine-induced reactions/injuries. First, allergies can be the result of the DPT vaccine at a minimum. Second, speech and language problems are associated with Thimerosal, the preservative that has been used in many vaccines that is almost 50% Mercury. That is the simple answer, but the real answer is probably more complicated depending upon which vaccines they have received and what was in them. The reactions that they have also depends upon their individual genetics. It is important to know your children's vaccination history so that you can identify which vaccines they have had and what those vaccines contained. Your pediatrician is required by law to keep those records, and you can request a copy of them. There has been some good research done so that we now know a lot. For instance, the DPT allergy connection can be made when we realize that allergies are a Th 2 immune reaction, which DPT provokes specifically. There are only two types of immune reactions, Th 1 and Th 2, and normal people are primarily Th 1 responders, with the ability to have a Th 2 response when specifically provoked. But people who have persistent and chronic allergies are having predominantly Th 2 responses, and its as if they can't turn this off. It's just always on, which plays havoc with their health. As to the Thimerosal issue, there is a lot of information available now as to the kinds of problems that Mercury poisoning produces. However, the good news is that this damage could be substantially corrected by chelation therapy, with young children having the best chance of successful recovery. There are many other things that can be discussed regarding the effects of the various childhood vaccines (not to mention anti-biotics), but the bottom line is that your children will definitely be healthier without them. This is a great place to begin to learn about the issues. Intro Hi Everybody, I am a mommy of four. Josh is 3, Annette is 2, Caleb is 1 and Baby Brent is 4 months. I am just now learning about all the not so good things about Vaccinating I want to learn all I can since I still have my little Brent and maybe more in the future. Guest guest
Hi everyone! My name is Amy, 25, and I'm a SAHM to nearly 3 yo Accalia and expecting a little one in August. At this point, we do not plan to vaccinate the baby, and we've stopped vaccinating Accalia - quite some time ago actually. Accalia was vax'ed according to schedule through 9 months and then received a few vaxes after that. Her last one was the individual measles and that was more than a year ago. I guess my dh and I are still trying to figure it all out and have decided to not do anything else right now. I hope to learn a lot from everyone! Guest guest
You have cool names for your kids! I joined an organic produce co-op. It costs $20-23 per week and I get so much I have to split the share with another mom. A friend of mine found a organic distributor. We put in an order (typical order is: apples, bananas, salad greens, kiwis, peppers, zucchinis, onions, potatoes). She increases it by twelve shares or people at a time (twelve pick up at her house, and twelve at her co-op partner's. We get the food in cases and divide it at someone's house. She always has a waiting list and the food's great. It really gets beat up in the store! It's actually getting to be pretty popular, I hear. Check into it and see if you can join (or start)one in your area. Good Luck! Boy do I hear you about that hindsight re vaxxing. It's painful! It was on the wane when she was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years old The vacccine came out 1 year after it already was on the decline in 1955 and people started dying seriously from the vaccine (called the Cutter incident). Guest guest
Hi, Tonya! Welcome! I have to say you are really strong and courageous for committing yourself to your convictions (which, when you research the subject, seems to be common sense, but it's NOT-I continually come across people who choose the status quo because they fell COMFORTABLE there). We vaxxed my son right into kindergarten. We now have another child who will not be vaxxed (neither will my son anymore). your old Ped sounds like an ignorant fool, more interested in his comfort zone than the truth (and didn't you challenge his comfort zone!). What a coward. Good Decision.
