Guest guest
I just switched to cloth diapers and my new baby is going to be born at home. I am stopping all vaccinations for my son and not starting them with my daughter. He is 14 months old and he has had all of the routine vaccinations, and I now regret it, but I am doing the best that I can, right? Nothing ever came up about vaccinations before, and since it has, I have looked into in day and night. What is " Impeerfectly Natural Parents " ? - Intro Hi I am Chelle and my partner is Andy. We have an 8 week old daughter Freya. Before i dfo almost anything I research it throughily, from buying a kettle to immunising my daughter. I am interested in home birth and cloth nappies, and am a member of these groups on as well as Impeerfectly Natural Parents. It is on the latter group that I discovered this one, and asked to become a member of this group to complete my research. I think Freya is not going to be vaccinated after all I am finding out. Guest guest
Don't feel bad. I never knew either. The doctor's make you think that it's mandatory. Even though I am going to homeschool, the issue never came up. They never asked, they just said, " He's getting five (or four or however many) shots today " and would give a sad look and I would give a sad look and we'd stick 'em. He hasn't been to the doctor since, and he hasn't needed to. - Intro Hi. My name is , DH is Eddie. We have an almost 17 month old girl Kiaralyn. So far she has been vaxed with everything that she is " suppose " to have except MMR and Chicken Pox. The reason for her vax's up to this point was because I didn't know any better. Now she will no longer be getting vaxed. At her last dr appointment she received the DpT and had a " mild " reaction to it. I look forward to learning more so that I am better able to justify my decision. Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi Good luck with the home birth. I planned one but had to transfer. I was gutted. Imperfectly Natural Parents is a group...(taken straight from the website) " A discussion group committed to providing support and reassurance to UK Natural Parents wishing to be able to talk about all aspects of parenting in the way they have chosen with other like- minded mums and dads. But we all make mistakes from time to time, and we sometimes question the choices we have made. This group is where we can share our concerns and voice our worries, and acknowledge that it's okay not to be a " perfect " Natural Parent…. It is a good group. Guest guest
Hi Chelle We use cloth (since birth) and had a drug free home (water) birth with our daughter Amber last year. We also decided after considering the numerous options to remain unvaxed since birth for her. She's now nearly 16 months and very fit, active and healthy, which i help will continue, disease or not! iyswim. We're fond of natural living, other similar issues. Suggest you maybe read some online things and get some books in, lots available, lots to take in and consider. bw Ambersmum -- In Vaccinations , " Beacock " <michellebeacock@d...> wrote: > Hi > > I am Chelle and my partner is Andy. Guest guest
Welcome ! Though I don't post often here right now (I seem to get really mixed up and lost due to the new delays in posts reaching the boards), I really wanted to say welcome!!! Most boys have historically been diagnosed between the ages of 9-12 with AS/PDD. Our neurologist said that is usually the age where the symptoms become much more pronounced and easier to diagnose (though I am glad to hear that that age has dropped dramatically in the past two years). Still, our kiddos have an increase in symptomology that can no longer be put off to " immaturity " or " overly active " or any number of other excuses that the medical/educational community has used in the past in order to avoid the problems. One thing that is going to be harder in your case is the adoption factor... Kiddos who are on the bonding disorder spectrum due to lack of (or sporadic/inconsistent/traumatic) attention during their first year of life can exhibit many of the same traits as our kiddos do as they get older. They have trouble understanding things from others' points of view, want to experience but have difficulty with empathy, tend to be self-focused, have extreme focal interests that they aren't willing to share with others, and may show inconsistent signs of attachment with those who love them unconditionally (push me, pull you). The good news is that though the causation may be different, many of the treatment options for both spectrums are almost exactly the same! Sometimes it is better to focus on what we can do rather than what caused what we are dealing with… After all, do any of us really know??? Again, welcome to the group!!! ~hugs~ Rabecca Bio parent of 1 Adoptive parent of 1 Stepparent of 2 Former foster parent of many Childcare provider for NT, Special Needs, and At-Risk kiddos You wrote: > I am , A SAHM to Bojie and both of which have PDD symptoms.
