The school should issue your daughter a 2nd set of books - one for school and

one for home - so she doesn't need to carry a heavy backpack - additionally, her

guidance counselor should be able to provide her with a place to store her extra

books until lockers are assigned - that's what happened for my son after

surgery.

Post Op Three Months: Intense Pain - Hook Issue -

Need Info

Since the first week of school, when the high school did not assign lockers to

the students, my daughter has been experiencing intense pain. She has already

missed four days of school because of it. The surgeon believes it is the " hook "

in her upper back, which holds the rod apparatus in place. He says that they may

have to remove the hook with a " minor " surgery ... Anyone have any experience

with this? Please advise, if so.

I'm 9yo post-op and I have not had that problem.  I'll pray for her.  It must

be very difficult to carry around her books all day.  She needs that locker

NOW.
