Guest guest
Well, Caitlin went in for her f/u appt and her curve has progressed even more over the last few mths. She is now at approx. 101%. After seeing her x-ray I knew I had no choice but to schedule surgery after many mths of researching the different options they gave me. We will be going with the VEPTR2. He is booked out till January with spine surgeries and I will not allow her to have surgery in Jan or Feb unless it's a life or death situation as she gets all that upper respiratory stuff around then. We now have an appt for March 20th. Until then I am trying to do things to help maintain this degree curve to keep it from going even more. In looking at her you would never guess it was that bad. The docs were even a bit shocked. Have any of you tried an Inversion table with your children? Just curious as I may purchase one for Caitlin to see if it will not maybe give her some relief and stretch her out a bit until surgery time. any input would be great.
