Guest guest
From what I can see from this post, you have a VIEW that keeps you from utilizing other information. You invalidate the info on harmful toxins, viruses in water, or drugs in the water supply, because you have your own bias. One of the things that my mother's oncologist chastized her about, was to stay out of the Chesapeake Bay during her chemo, and to avoid the grandchildren after they had been vaccinated. The reason was, during her period of low immune system function, she was THAT more succeptible to infection. I don't know who you are, as you don't sign your posts with a name. You are nameless. Pray tell, have you lost someone to cancer yet? Have you seen your beloved cancer relative eat hearty meals of meat, cheese and diary, and then snack on ice cream and diet sodas while they proclaim to be fighting the disease? Yes, diet does matter. And so do environmental issues. If we knew that the cause of environmental problems created higher " clusters " of cancer, then would we be more circumspect? I think so. Take for instance, the recent study of women in a Boston suburb, who had cancer at 4X the rate of any other area of Mass. What they found was this was an affluent area, with chemically treated lawns, and a much higher economic level and education level. The study inferred but stopped short of making conclusions that wealthy and well educated women have a higher exposure to harmful diets and environments. Does this mean anything? Yes, I think that it does, and warrents further study. Does this mean that it's healthier to live in a middle class suburb of union workers? We don't really know yet, but the evidence demands to be looked at. Recently a movie was made, staring Travolta who investigated toxic waste runoff from a factory of some type. He was a lawyer who attempted to prosecute this case. That children were dying of cancers, was a fact, that there were problems with the town water, and coverups from officials everywhere was a fact. The problem was environmental no question. Now we have reports of prescription medications in the water supply coming right out of the tap. And I'm giving this CLEAN water to my kids and daily dosing them with cholesterol fighting drugs, and ALSO the chemo drugs that are becoming more and more commonplace in our society. AND I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO CARE? And I'm not supposed to question it? We should be aghast. We should be outraged that vaccines contain cancer virus and God only knows what else. So what you call " scathing " dear friend, is really OUTRAGE. It's outrageous, and there's no other way to describe it. And yes, we need to be angry about this. And yes, we do need to do something about it. And if my mother's recent death is what prompts me to action, what will your motivation be? If I can't share my outrage over my mother's death here, then where am I going to share it? I'm not attacking people. I'm attacking the issues, not the people. If people are going to continue to look that porterhouse steak in the eye, and order it medium rare, while they recover from radiation, etc.... then they have lost all sense, and themselves are to blame for their disease. My purpose is to make this world a SAFER place for my children, which is why I have devoted myself to their care. This is why I search for ways to make their growing up years as safe and pollutant free as is possible in this age. Because pollutants do matter. It does matter if the town's water is unfit to drink. And the same with milk, or whatever it is we are talking about. You don't have to " connect " with me personally, or even like me. But I'm a part of this forum, just as much as any other person. Always be well, At 02:44 PM 12/6/99 EST, you wrote: > > >The professed purpose of this site is to exchange useful anti-cancer >information and viable options. Guest guest
Well put , That was a " just the facts ma'am " as I've ever enjoyed. Say, we are all on the same team and I have a question? Is there a congressman or senator in the house who wants to do something about these issues because not only would it be the right thing to do but it would make you more popular with the voters. Do we have any brave leaders reading today? drpeppe@... Guest guest
PurposeWe all have some kind of purpose on this earth,It's not to hurt people or tell them their worth.Everyone was put here with an equal chance,Take a look around you, take a good long glance. Some were meant to heal, and some to teach,Some are used to build, and some to reach. You may not know your purpose just yet,God will tell you, when he knows you are set.Don't rush your fate, it has already been planned. And God will always be there to lend a helping hand. You will go through times that are really rough,But you will always have someone, when the going gets tough.Don't judge others, for when you do,There is always someone else, judging you.Think about things before they are said,Say your prayers before going off to bed.Take time just to sit, and observe all things,A flower and it's petals, or a bird and it's wings. For when you just look at what is around,A new aspect on life could be what you have found.Live for today, live one day at a time.Live for yourself, and for God, that's no crime. For when you do all these things to make your life great,You will find your own way to the pearly white gate.Author Unknown
