Guest guest
Hi Ram, GMP certification does improve the quality of the product, if it is conducted sincerely, honestly and without corruption. It is unfortunate that WHO name is prefixed to the GMP to give it the impression that it has been done by WHO. Even Govts use the terminology " WHO GMP " . Imagine the damage to the name of WHO where so called WHO GMP certified company's products fail quality tests. And it happens! Guest guest
Dear Vijay Sir and all greeting Thank you for your reply with the reality check. Could anyone please let me know the compliance status of the GMP certification in India and other countries? I think some one need to take initiative to clearly delineate the line between GMP and its association with the WHO marks. I want to be a part of this initiative. yours Ram C Sah From: Vijay <drvijaythawani@...>netrum Sent: Wednesday, November 5, 2008 7:52:01 AMSubject: Re: Quality of medicines - International Certification Hi Ram,GMP certification does improve the quality of the product, if it is conducted sincerely, honestly and without corruption. Guest guest
Hi Ram, We have been working in this area since last three years. We have published paper " Are ORS brands in India using WHO name judiciously? N Bachewar, V Thawani, K Gharpure. Indian Journal of Pharmacology, Dec 2006, 38 (6), 439-441 " and another one " Monitoring misuse of WHO name and emblem in medicine promotion in India " has been accepted for publication in Indian Journal of Medical Ethics and should appear anytime. If you have any ideas about collaborative work in this field, please revert back. It will be a pleasure to work with you. Does your country also suffer from misuse of WHO name in medicine promotion?
