Moral Absolutes 5 Certain And Unshakeable Things

In recent Barna Research surveys, 84% of " born again " adults said truth is

always relative to the person and their situation, and there are no unchanging

moral absolutes. 94% of teens said moral truth depends on the circumstances. I

believe there are definitely some “unchanging moral absolutes!” In fact, I will

share ten certain and unshakeable things between this article and the next, both

MORAL ABSOLUTE # 1. GOD VALUES HUMAN LIFE.

Since 1973 and the Roe V Wade (abortion on demand) Supreme Court ruling. 45

million babies have been murdered through abortion! Six million Jews were

murdered during the Holocaust of WWII, but that tragic atrocity pales in the

face of America’s murderous abortion on demand! Cheri and I were discussing what

America has lost due to those deaths. We have killed countless Doctors, nurses,

clergymen, scientists, presidents, humanitarians, courageous soldiers,

policemen, firemen, and teachers. Who knows? We may have aborted the next

Graham and countless thousands of souls may go to Hell because they will not

meet that one who would lead them to Jesus Christ?

LISTEN TO ME! Some moral absolutes are certain and unshakeable! One of them is

that God VALUES HUMAN LIFE. God is PRO-LIFE! He loves EVERY life! You are

PRECIOUS and SPECIAL to the Father! We are His PECULIAR people! It is NO

accident that you are alive today. Human life is precious to God. You are here

by God's choosing. You were born at this time in History to fulfill His purpose

for this generation. He has given you all the light you need to KNOW His WILL,

and He has given you all the grace you need to DO His WILL. WALK by FAITH – NOT

by SIGHT! He wants you to help fulfill the Great Commission of 28:18-20.

If you are committed to His will, there is nothing that can keep you from it. HE

has a PURPOSE for your LIFE!

This is a certain and unshakeable thing – God values human life!

MORAL ABSOLUTE # 2. GOD IS SOVEREIGN.

Another certain and unshakeable moral absolute is this; God is SOVEREIGN. God

has had an eternal plan for this world since before He created it. Nothing can

stop His plan or frustrate His purposes, because He is SOVEREIGN! He is the

Supreme Ruler of the Universe. God has an AWESOME plan for your life! It would

be so TRAGIC if you chose not to follow Him and obey His will. But listen to me

- - no matter what you choose – God’s eternal plan WILL SUCCEED. What a tragedy

it would be if you missed out on His eternal salvation as well as His Hand of

Blessing!

Let me tell you something: God is not worried about what will or will not happen

or what He will or will not do. NOTHING EVER takes Him by surprise. Did you know

that God loves you so much He died for you, and whether you are a lost sinner or

a born again sinner, His heart breaks every time we disobey? Did you also know

that He sees the future and He is already there! He knows WHERE He is leading

your life and He knows HOW to GET you there. If you FOLLOW HIM, you will find

that He makes no mistakes. Yes Sir! It is a certain and unshakeable thing that

GOD is SOVEREIGN!

MORAL ABSOLUTE # 3. GOD IS IN CHARGE.

It is also a certain and unshakeable moral absolute that God IS in Charge! There

used to be a comedy on TV called " in Charge. " (Tony Danza) was

always into some kind of predicament, and you wondered if he was really " in

charge. " Well you don't have to wonder with God! God is REALLY in charge! God

has not retreated somewhere in the universe or gone into hiding. God is the

CREATOR and SUSTAINER of all life! There is NO God like YHWH (Jehovah)! Today

God is right where He has always been - on His throne. There is NO KING or RULER

that has more authority than God! There is NO POLITICAL FIGURE that has more

influence than God! There is NO NATION that has more control than God. No one

can out-THINK God or out-SMART God. You cannot HIDE from God! He is God

Almighty. God is in charge!

QUESTION? DO YOU have an INTIMATE, PERSONAL relationship with God through His

Son Jesus Christ (the ONLY WAY, THE ONLY TRUTH, THE ONLY LIFE)? If not, confess

and repent of your sins, beg God’s forgiveness by claiming the blood of JESUS as

your ransom payment! Open your heart and ask Messiah Jesus to come in and not

only be your eternal SAVIOR – but also the LORD AND MASTER of your life! I

PROMISE you – you’ll never be sorry!

If you HAVE placed your life in His hands, He wants to be LORD and MASTER, in

COMPLETE CONTROL, of EVERY aspect of your life. It is a certain and unshakeable

thing - GOD IS IN CHARGE!

MORAL ABSOLUTE # 4. GOD'S WORD IS DEPENDABLE.

Yet another certain and unshakeable moral absolute in our world is this; GOD'S

WORD IS DEPENDABLE! All Scripture is God's written Word. 2 Tim 3:15-17 says

“that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make

you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is

given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for

correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be

complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

God’s Word is 100% reliable because God is 100% infallible. The Scriptures have

endured the test of time - men have tried to destroy them but they still remain.

Men have tried to dispute them but they have had the final say in every

argument. Men have tried to refute them but they stand over each man's grave as

a living testimony to all that is true, righteous, and eternal. If you obey His

Word you will never have regrets. God's Word will inspire, enlighten, convict,

instruct, encourage, strengthen, and guide you. God's Word is a dependable road

map for living with Him and with one another. GOD'S WORD is TRUE, GOD'S WORD is

RIGHT, GOD'S WORD is RELIABLE. It is a certain and unshakeable thing that GOD'S

WORD is DEPENDABLE!

MORAL ABSOLUTE # 5. GOD'S KINGDOM CANNOT BE SHAKEN, AND YOU CAN BELONG TO THAT

KINGDOM.

The fifth certain and unshakeable moral absolute is that God's Kingdom Cannot Be

Shaken, and you can BELONG to that Kingdom! Throughout history kings have been

overthrown; leaders have fallen from power; kingdoms have been conquered and

armies have been defeated. Riches have been depleted and fortresses have toppled

over. It is only in the God's Kingdom that you can find true rest and security.

God's Kingdom cannot be shaken because God NEVER FAILS! Political leaders will

fail you! Family and friends will fail you! Money will fail you. Careers will

fail you. Position and status will fail you. Churches will fail you. Clergy will

fail you! But you can ALWAYS count on Jesus! God's KINGDOM cannot be SHAKEN! No

rebellion can break down its gates; no weapon can penetrate its borders; and no

warrior can come against its King. It is a certain and unshakeable thing that

God's Kingdom CANNOT be shaken!

The way of God's Kingdom is where your feet can walk; the truth of God's Kingdom

is what your faith can embrace; the love of God's Kingdom is what your heart can

give away. God's KINGDOM can NEVER be SHAKEN! That'll PREACH folks!

QUESTION? Are you a member of God's Kingdom – the Kingdom of God? Are you a born

again believer? If not, in the words of Dr. Phil, " How's that workin' for you? "

(Not so good, I bet, and that's why you are reading this article). You can be a

member of His Kingdom, by confessing your sin to God, believing in your heart

that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, and by placing

your faith in Him.

never changing. I thank You that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever!

Draw all men and women unto Yourself. Hold Your children in the palm of Your

hand, and meet all our needs as only You can, through Your riches in Glory by

Christ Jesus, in whose name I pray, Amen.
