Dear Dr. Santosh:

Thanks a lot for stepping in and for useful information about the course posted by you. As always you are there to actively participate in the present discussion too. My hearty welcome to you. All details about the course that you have furnished are perfect. However some clarification is required in respect of the comment that you have made at the end regarding whether M.Pharm. candidates also have to undergo (if desirous to do so) this course like B.Pharm. candidates for a full post-baccelaurate period of three years. You are requested to kindly site the source wherefrom you have got this information because the regulations notified by the Pharmacy Council of India mention the eligibility criteria of the three year post-baccelaurate PharmD course only for

B.Pharm. pass-outs. They do not mention the same criteria for M.Pharm. candidates. In fact they are silent about M.Pharm. pass-outs, probably because of the fact that an M.Pharm pass-out would prefer to undergo Ph.D. rather than undergoing PharmD. However in one of the editorials published in Pharmabiz on April 19, 2007, it has been stated that the M Pharm students can also take Pharm.D degree by undergoing an additional one year residency. Since this editorial has appeared much before the actual notification was issued by PCI in May, 2008, we cannot rely much upon that. Your further inputs and continuous participation in the discussion is solicited.

With regards
