no .. its nothing related to ore... its a seperate exam conducted by the royal college of surgeons ... its license for dental surgery... its an almost equivalent exam to ore conducted by general dental council... just a different board... this is my info on lds.... hope it helps.. three weeks does not sound like a long time. I get things sticking for a few

days now and again. It's usually inflammation that causes it. For me, post nasal

drip at night irritates my E, and this, combined with really acidic foods can

mess me up to the point  where I know there is food sticking.

Do carbonated beverages help? Sparkling water has been good for me when I don't

want a beer or Diet Pepsi.

Dr. Richter echoed Notan's assertion that we need to stay on PPI's. He hates

famotadine because his patients get poor results. I don't like the idea, but pay

for it when I forget.

We also notice a correlation between stress and such flare ups. Taking steps to

let go of stress is very important for us.

Hi everyone,

I had a dilation this morning by my local GI.  My H. myotomy was last summer,

but things were getting stuck more and more. Its still too early to know for

sure if it makes much of a difference, but my tuna fish lunch went down without

any hesitation.

Well, I have been on this site

Since I had my Hellers in Feb of 2005. For the most part all has been great

since then. Some water to get things down, but very normal.

Then.....last month I noticed my Aciphex and Fish Oil pills would stick a

little, and my mouth and throat often felt dry. Now it feels like a little food

is often not going down, even with water.

I am scheduled for my yearly endoscopy in three weeks. Should I move it up? Has

anyone had a Hellers and then had these slowly developing of stickage like me? I

have never had a dilation, does anyone think they will do this at my endoscopy?

Does the balloon dilations really help?

Any thoughts?

Congratulations ,

I hope the dilatation helps for a long time! Sometimes they are necessary. I

had several ( around 10) years ago before my esophagectomy. I am doing great,

but still like to check in once in a while!
