Guest guest
An Arhat is an enlightened one who rows in a boat by himself in the middle of the ocean. 'It' has assumed, and concluded that helping others is futile, so 'it' goes off, perhaps into the mountains or the ocean dissappearing and running from humanity. Over the years, I've had many 'self describing names' around me, and in my center such as Lucky, Slim, Harmony, Paradise, Summer, etc. Upon selecting the name Arhata, after leaving Wall St., it was a technique to separate from the past (which is a devise that works making it easier as well as having fun being called a different name). Now I'm essentially the opposite of an Arhat, and I like the name, but I've had very little experience with people who were not the opposite of what they called themselves. I once had a 'Lucky' in the Center who was a bit of a druggie - several months went by and I happened to check the garbage in the alley only to find what looked like a bum I'd not seen before sleeping next to the garbage can. Seeing he was a bit of a drunkard, I offered him a beer from the house. He was thankful. I asked him his name. He said it was Lucky! Lucky??!! - well I gave him a beer!A relationship involving love is a very deep form of meditation. Most who do meditation do it like they do relationshitz, 1/2 assed! A relationship is duality like a 'lucky name'. Why be separate in an 'us'? That's why they struggle. Why have a relationship with yourself in the end? Who's having the relationship with who? Talk is just talk. Walking into hell for a heavenly purpose is talk 'til you do it and find that heavenly purpose in the walk.ArhataArhataOsho.com
