Guest guest
I AM glad I had my end in the winter. I don’t do heat very well anyway. Remember at the end I had a big cyst on my wrist & the doc said he wouldn’t take it out unless I quit tx 2 wks before & after? I told him to forget that – I hadn’t come this far to quit now for any reason & I’d tough it out till after tx! I wore a brace for about 6 weeks, but I didn’t quit tx for some lousy cyst! LOL I know you’re every bit as stubborn & hard-headed as me, Ms. Keep-Working-With-Pneumonia, so you’re gonna get through this like a champ! I still am feeling the affects of that darn pneumonia too. Or I guess that is what it is, breathless and coughing. Waiting on insurance to ok a c-scan now. And yup... no doubt that I can do this. No way would I get this far and even think about quitting. Just trying to figure what is going on... heat not helping I am sure. Heart test came back finally... friends wrong, I do have one and it works perfectly lol. Kathy... if you continue to have problems with anti-D's talk with the doc about switching to Cymbalta. My doc promised it would give me tons of energy, made it sound like speed. Still waiting for that energy but it is not dragging me down anyway. Danne... you have had an unbelievable month. Hang in there! Night Night, Llinda

Guest guest
I'm so sorry for you loss also , this time of year seems to be a bad one ( memory wise ) for alot of us . My brother died Christmas day back in 1981 , and time doesnt make the loss less . Especially since it was on x-mas day . Congratulations your almost done with tx , that is awesome ! I started my 4th round of tx 4 days ago , LOL 4 down 571 to go hehe . If I respond it will be 12 months plus an additional 7 to make sure I remain clear . If there is not a 2 log drop by week 12 , well you know what will happen LOL . Take care .........I will be thinking of you and that wonderful snow over the holidays ........liz RE: Gail Do they reduce the daily does, cause three shots a wk kicked the hell out of me?I feel bad if they don't cut the does, but I also know it will be worth it when treatment is over.God bless them. Guest guest
Thanks for the 'rose' Janne! Sorry to hear you had a 'rough ride' with your ICD. I had one fitted only 3.5 weeks ago; it's 'prophylactic', that is, they are not expecting me to get shocked at all - but as the doc said, 'there's always a first time', and if need be, it will save my life. The husband seems to think he doesn't need to worry any more, as I will definitely live forever now ! Don't know if this info is of any use to you - you are in Norway? - I'm English. I've ordered my medical jewellery from these people: http://www.icegems.co.uk/index.asp My cardiology team recommend joining MedicAlert http://www.medicalert.org.uk/, which the ICD manufacturers Medtronic subsidise, but I like the ICE Gems leather range better than anything MedicAlert have, and to me, whether or not I think it looks cool is the most important thing. Maybe I ought to take life, death and potential medical emergencies more seriously, but 'shoulds' and 'oughts' have never really been my thing . Leonie.
